Throughout the year, we run some special events and camps, but check below for regular happenings.

Outreach and the Artist Group and Psalm Concert

In first semester each year, we run an “Outreach and the Artist” discussion group, discussing the intersection of art and faith. Early in second semester, we run our “Psalm” concert, where students from our CU Community bring original works or arrangements inspired by their faith (music, dance, poetry, visual art…). Psalm is a great training ground for creatives to discover and test out how they can use their gifts for Jesus. It’s always an amazing evening, a high-quality showcase of many of the creative students we have in CU and a popular annual event to bring friends and family to.

Mid Year Conference

Want to a deep dive into God’s word? Want to build solid foundations for your faith? This year’s topic is The Resurrection, without which our faith is futile and we are still dead in our sins (Romans 15:17)! Come join with students from some other Perth Uni’s and get to grips with this key doctrine together. It’s been life changing for some! When we’re not in the main sessions, seminars, small groups, or electives, we might be playing soccer or board games or going for a bush walk.

National Training Event

NTE and Mission are amazing training opportunities designed to start after our final exams. Uni students from all around Australia take part, travelling together to Mission (for us, in WA) and then to NTE in Canberra. If you join Plus Trip you’ll also get to do some sightseeing in Canberra and Sydney too! Plan to go at least once whilst you're at uni, plan to go early in the likely event that you want to go every year!

Regular events

Our core activities run every week, as per this table below. You are welcome whether you have faith in Jesus or would just like to check him (and us) out. All activities generally cost $0

Most activities run in small groups with peers so that we get to know God and encourage one another together. It’s a great way to make friendships that last beyond uni. Weekly or occasional one-to-one meetings with a mature Christian staff worker or apprentice are also a popular option.
